After seven years, Christie Grace has just released her second CD - CONTEMPLATION. Well worth the wait, this luminous project was recorded virtually live. The classic covers and soulful originals showcase Grace's emotional range and soaring pure vocals . They are sensitively supported by some of Vancouver's finest jazz musicians. Produced by long time friend, Vancouver jazz musician, Bill Runge & Grace, it reflects the artists musical growth both as singer and writer. The original songs, Fly Me Away, Time Won't Wait, and Be Your Self, were co written with the talented pianist/composer, Bob Murphy who also provided arrangements on the Joni material. The spacious arrangement on Moon River was artfully written by pianist/composer Michael Creber and performed with old friend, Paul Shaffer, bandleader for the David Letterman Show. The "groovy" jazz waltz, Steel & Porcelain was written by Grace and Runge, while the playful duet with David Steele, Meet Me in Maui was arranged by Runge. There are some sparkling jewels on this project not to be missed.
